1. Purpose of This Policy

This policy defines account deletion procedures designed to align with app-store requirements and personal-data protection principles.

The objective is to provide a transparent, verifiable, and user-controlled exit process from the service.

2. Deletion Request Channels

Users may request deletion in-app through account settings, with identity confirmation via password or OTP according to system rules.

Users may also submit an outside-app deletion request through a public web page using email OTP verification.

3. Soft Delete State and Access Impact

After a successful request, account status is set to DELETION_PENDING and deletion timestamps are recorded.

During this state, sign-in is disabled and protected account actions are blocked to prevent further activity from a pending-deletion account.

4. 30-Day Grace Period and Cancellation

A 30-day grace period is applied before permanent deletion to allow users to reconsider and cancel deletion if needed.

Cancellation is available through supported in-app flow while the cancellation deadline remains active.

5. Recovery via Re-Registration

If a user re-registers with the same email and valid OTP during the grace period, the existing DELETION_PENDING account is reactivated to ACTIVE.

This recovery approach avoids duplicate-account conflicts and is treated as cancellation of the pending deletion schedule.

6. Permanent Deletion Scope

After the deadline, scheduled purge jobs permanently remove account records and associated personal datasets according to backend deletion rules.

Deletion includes primary account identity records and related relational records designed for purge under service architecture constraints.

7. Data That May Be Retained

Non-identifiable aggregate metrics may be retained for legitimate audit, security, and compliance reporting purposes.

Retained aggregate data is designed to avoid direct re-identification of deleted users.

8. Logging and Auditability

Critical events such as deletion request, cancellation, and purge execution are logged to support operational accountability and compliance checks.

Audit practices follow data-minimization and access-control principles to reduce unnecessary exposure of personal information.

9. Exceptions and Legal Holds

In limited circumstances, certain data may be retained where required by law, lawful authority request, or unresolved legal disputes.

Once such obligations expire, retained data will be removed or de-identified in accordance with applicable policies and law.
